Yes. On successful completion and passing of the final assessment you will receive The Certificate in Western Saddle Fitting which has been designed and developed by The Saddler's Technique Ltd, in partnership with Lantra.

At The Saddler's Technique, we believe that a deep understanding of equine behaviour and body mechanics is crucial for effectively fitting Western saddles, along with some riding experience. Our training program is designed for individuals who are experienced, confident, and comfortable working with horses, as this knowledge and background is essential for successful saddle fitting and ensuring the comfort and well-being of both the horse and rider.

Currently the course is held at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Somerset, UK. In the future we are looking at various locations around the country alongside some online learning.

There is no APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning) on this course, as all students will come with a variety of previous experience that cannot always be quantified, accounted for or individualised. So to ensure that learning outcomes are complete and correct, all students follow the same programme. All students are welcome to share any specialist training and experience that they have with the group and the course will continually provide an invaluable opportunities for reinforcement and demonstration of relevant prior learning.
