The Equine Owners Course - Treeless
Welcome to The Saddler's Technique where we believe in taking a holistic approach to saddle fitting. Our training courses are designed to provide hands-on training to equine owners and enthusiasts who are interested in learning about treeless saddle fitting. We teach you how to properly fit treeless saddles while keeping the horse's conformation in mind. We also educate you on the different materials for saddle pads, how to assess the quality of the pad, and how to make sure your pad properly fits too. Join us for an enjoyable and educational experience that prepares you to go back to your horse with a practical set of skills.

Our weekend courses provide equine owners a chance to learn the different aspects of treeless saddle fitting, the fundamental techniques, and how to assess what’s best for their horses. We are dedicated to promoting happy horses through proper saddle fitting and education. Experience training like no other, with our knowledgeable and experienced trainers, you will leave with peace of mind and a wealth of knowledge about saddle fitting.
Course Information
The Treeless Saddle Fitting Course for equine owners aims to teach equine owners a comprehensive overview of how to recognise poor treeless saddle fit, what to do, and also about girthing and padding. This course is designed to empower the equine owner with knowledge, saving them money in the long term, and most importantly, helping equines be more comfortable.

At the end of this course you should be able to identify a well-fitting and poorly fitting treeless saddle and know which pads and girths help the equine stay more comfortable, and those that don’t and why. The modules cover the following:

Horse psychology incl pain and behaviour

Treeless saddles and fit

Treeless saddle pads

Treeless cinches/girths

Evaluating the Saddle - No Rider

Evaluating the Saddle - With Rider
This course will be run over one weekend. The course will be run either in the New Forest, Hampshire or in Somerset, UK.
